For body concerns, Physimed MediSpa uses FormaPlus, which is a larger version of Forma. The wand is optimized for large body parts for skin tightening and body reshaping. Boosted collagen production takes effect over a couple months. However, people often see improvements such as firmer skin, tighter pores, and fewer wrinkles within two weeks of the first procedure. A series of Forma treatments can achieve results that last one year. The average recommended treatment plan involves weekly treatments performed over six weeks. This is subject to change based on your specific skin laxity. To maintain your results, up to three treatments may be recommended to you.

First, we apply a conductive gel to the area to be treated so the wand is able to glide easily across the surface. We glide the wand in circular motions on the area. The wand delivers heat to the area and automatically adjusts the temperature to ensure it stays at a tolerable heat level. We can still change the settings on the device to lower the heat for those with sensitive skin or while treating sensitive areas like under the eye. For most patients, the treatment is relaxing and feels like a hot-stone massage.

Forma treatments last around 30 minutes. This time changes depending on the area being treated.

After the treatment is over, we use a cool towel to remove the gel and apply moisturizer and sunscreen to your skin.

This procedure has no downtime. The aftermath of the procedure is that your face will be flushed, as if you’ve finished an intense workout. This redness lasts between 15 minutes and a couple of hours, depending on how sensitive your skin is. Some patients also experience minor swelling and some tingling.
